Hi Rumford Little League Families!
We hope you are all doing well and
staying healthy. The sunshine has been wonderful, be sure to get
outside!
We wanted to reach out and share some
updates with you about what’s going on with the league!
First and foremost, we are still
working hard with the District and other League Officials to
determine when will be able to begin to play. To help, we have
created a safety plan we would implement that includes a waiver and
screening protocol. The waiver will require signature of parent or
guardian to permit the player(s) to play and acknowledge full
responsibility of player(s)’ ability to play in regards to personal
health (i.e. checking for fever, other symptoms prior to play). The
screening protocol will be implemented to take each player’s
temperature prior to play as well. We have also created guidelines
for how games would be run in terms of equipment, players and fans.
We have so many other great things
going on as well. Our home field “The Rock” is being set up for a
successful season:
-
New sod on mound and home plate
areas
-
Mounds are being raised per
regulations
-
Sod cutting in the infield
-
All areas in needed are being
mulched
-
Signage and dugout wraps are
installed
-
Bathrooms are updated
-
Batting cages are updated
-
Delivery of light poles and lights
to start Operation Light Up Linberg
The field will be baseball-ready as
soon as we can start play. Jerseys and hats have been handed out by
the coaches so we are prepped and ready to go!
For any Tee Ball families, updates are
forthcoming, we’ll get information out as soon as we can.
Stay healthy, stay active and we’ll
see you soon!
