A Letter of Thanks from Nicaragua

Below is a thank you letter and photos sent from the people in Empalme de Boaco, Nicaragua who we have sent used baseball donations to for the last few years. It is nice to receive appreciation and see where the donations are going. We look forward to our annual used equipment collection again this season.

To: Tom Costa and Rumford Little League

On behalf of the children from the youth baseball teams from our small community of Empalme de Boaco, Nicaragua, I am writing to you and hoping that you are well.

For us it is a blessing to be able to count on people with such generous hearts such as yourselves.  Thanks to your gift of sports equipment, especially bats, helmets and shoes, we have been able to create new enthusiasm among the youth for the sport of baseball. You have helped create smiles on the faces of our children who dream about one day being the best baseball players in Nicaragua and being the best team they can be.

I want you to know that the program is going very well and that the boys and girls are responding with responsibility, discipline, and are maintaining a good academic level.

Thank you friends and sponsors because together you have done a great job of bringing happiness to our community and to the children who enjoy themselves every week with great enthusiasm.

I send you some photos of the children with the gifts that you have given.  Thank you very much and God bless you.

Thank you and I hope that you will soon visit our community.

Sincerely,

RAMON MONTANO JUAN DIAZ
